Education
Sunday School
Sunday School is held Sunday mornings during the worship service. The children attend Church with their parents and will be dismissed to their classrooms with their teachers after the opening prayer. They return to receive communion.
We offer classes for: Ages 2-3 Pre-k/K Grades 1-2 Grades 3-4 Grades 5-6 Our Sunday School program uses music, songs, stories, games and crafts to teach about the Bible, Jesus Christ, and the Episcopal Church. The Sunday School curriculum helps the children to Know the Word of God, Grow in Faith, and Show Service in Christ’s name. We have wonderful and dedicated teachers and we use a Team Teacher approach where each teacher is responsible for teaching a class on an alternating week schedule.
Junior Youth Group, Rite 13
The St. Paul’s Youth Group assists youth in growing in their faith by engaging them in questions of faith and life through a series of media and group discussions; youth-developed worship; outreach; and fellowship. The Youth Groups will meet on Sundays from 4PM to 6 PM.
Confirmation Class
The Confirmation class at St. Paul’s engages youth in learning more about what it means to make a mature commitment to their Baptismal promises and to actively engage in
mission as Episcopal/Anglican Christians in preparing for Confi rmation by the Bishop. Our next Confi rmation is scheduled for Sunday, October 31st, with Bishop Michael officiating. If you would like more information about this service, please contact Pastor Maxine at 610-363-2363.
Adult Education
“God hasn’t finished with us yet” is a well known saying among Christians. At St. Paul’s, we take it as a reminder that our Christian education does not end with are always being formed and informed by our study of scripture, our study of our Christian tradition andour awareness of our spiritual journey and its twists and turns.
As support in that journey, St. Paul’s offered classes and opportunities to share with fellow seeker:
- Book Club is a monthly opportunity to discuss the world views of various authors from many backgrounds who take their spiritual journeys seriously. The books are chosen by the group. Members alternate as discussion leaders. Leaders: Helen Heinmiller and Pastor Maxine.
- Dialogue with the Scriptures meets weekly to explore the covenants of the Bible from the Garden of Eden through Jesus. Leaders: Alan Lindsay and Veronica Grosch.
- Men’s Bible Study meets twice a month to discuss books of the Bible chosen by the members. This meeting over breakfast allows men to share openly with other men on the challenges they encounter as men of faith. Leaders: Kurt Mislick and Ted Harrison.
